it's clear dark skies. It is home of dozens of professional observatories
including Kitt Peak National Observatory,
Mt. Graham, Lowell
Observatory, and Mt. Hopkins Observatory.
With up to 300 clear nights a year and being far enough South to avoid the upper
atmosphere turbulence of the jet stream,
Arizona is an excellent place for observing the night sky. |
